At $9,995 the Apple Lisa was too expensive for most businesses. By the time the Lisa was discontinued in 1986, most Apple computer customers were choosing to purchase the less expensive Macintosh.

The book pulled from the shelves of the Apple Store was "iCon Steve Jobs: The Greatest Second Act in the History of Business" published by Wiley. In Apple's controversial efforts to control the media, the company pulled all books by Wiley from its store shelves, which meant that other popular titles like David Pogue's "Macs For Dummies" were also not sold.

This Macintosh is the Power Macintosh G4 Cube. While a design masterpiece, the Cube did not turn out to be a sales success and Apple ceased production of this model in 2001.

The application that served as the basis for the first version of Apple's iTunes was SoundJam MP. Created by developers Jeff Robbin and Bill Kincaid, SoundJam MP was initially released by the company Casady & Greene in 1999. Prior to the SoundJam deal, Apple also had contact with another Macintosh software development company named Panic, the makers of Audion, another popular audio player on the market at the time.

For a history of Audion and a story about Panic and Apple, check out this interesting article on Panic's website:

The "SE" in the Macintosh SE name stood for "System Expandable". The SE was the first compact Macintosh that featured an expansion slot (called a "PDS" or Processor Direct Slot) to be used for expansion or accelerator cards. The SE also featured the ability to accommodate either one or two floppy drives, or both a floppy drive and a hard drive.
